 A word to the Womem
1 Timothy 2:9
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array
Women have a divinely implanted desire to look good, as well as feel good about themselves, and here Paul is not telling us not to look good; rather he's speaking about extravagant and ostentatious dress (trying to be center of attention)  Before God saved any of us, we were all filthy rags, busted and disgusted, and I can speak for myself....I did not always dress discreet when I was in the world. As a child of God, my old man died and my new man lives.... Women of God are to dress modesty and with discretion. I am not saying dress older than what you are, but there should be some conviction of you dressing like the world. We older women are to be an example to the younger women, but how many of us can really be trusted to teach, mentor, and train these young ladies, if we are not doing it ourselves, do not just play the part, live the part. When we go to church, there should be a focus on GOD, and anything or anyone that is getting more attention, is out of order. Women of God should not be tempting or hindering brothers from worship with what they have on (and before you say, well, they should be saved enough not to look, you should be saved enough not to entice them.) And we also should not overdress where we make our sisters jealous. I am sure I am stepping on some toes, and I thank God that I follow Christ and not feelings. I love to shop and I love looking my best at all times, I work very hard at staying in shape, but before I step out I make sure that what I have on I would wear in front of God, and with my husband not being here, I make sure I am not wearing something that will bring the wrong attention to me. Some might say, "well, I am not you, and why are you telling me how I should and shouldn't dress" I'll tell you why...
Titus 2:3-5
The aged women....teach the younger women.....to be discreet (modest and decent), chaste (is sexually pure), keepers at home (workers at home not busybodies) obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed (being submissive to their own husbands.
Just because we are saved or have been saved for awhile doesn't mean that sometimes we don't need to go back to the basics

*Ask yourself are you dressing the same way, you were in the world? Have you really stood still long enough to hear from God?
" I WILL NOT COMPROMISE THE WORD OF GOD; FOR GOD I LIVE AND FOR GOD I DIE
