I heard a man of God speak on the very same subject. A lot of times we think we really have friends, and people who really love us and are in our corner; but you can't be to careful for nothing. A lot of times people will pretend to like you, their motives ain't right because they have a hidden agenda. They really don't like you, they are jealous of your anointing so they become close to you to try and find something negative about you so that they can try and ruin your reputation or good name. Allow me to take you to a story in the Bible where a man was exposed by his own family members:

GENESIS 9:20-24

And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard. And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethrens without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his younger son had done unto him

It was completely out of Noah's character to become drunken; being how Noah had been so faithful to God, he could not have done this deliberately. Instead of his son covering him, he went and told his brothers. And that is exactly what a lot of people do. See I have noticed that when you are going through, or you step outside of "folks zone" they began to run their chitter chatter box (their mouths) and they say everything from secrets that you have shared to anything that will cause shame and embarrassment unto you. I have learned in this Christian walk, sad but true.... people in the church as well as friends, and family will hurt you quicker than a stranger...and why do you ask? Because of that one thing that caused Satan to get thrown out.....PRIDE was the ultimate, but it started out with jealousy; he was jealous of God and he could not stand the fact that God was the creator and that He was the Alpha and Omega; and the devil allowed that jealousy to fester into pride. And this is what a lot of people do. Do not become jealous or envy of someone else. God made us all unique, and He already knew what He was going to place inside of each and every one of us, so the next time you feel the need to EXPOSE someone STOP and ask yourself how you would want to be treated in that same situation. Often time we are ignorant to that in which we do not understand and that is because we do not get into the word, or seek God;s face the way we are suppose to. The word of God says, "my people perish by the lack of knowledge". This is a warning from GOD; stop trying to expose your sisters and brothers, and start loving and praying more, and talking and judging less. You never know when you will find yourself needing that same compassion and mercy.
