When God gave me this message it was really on time. I hear so many "saints" tell me, I just can't do it, or I tried to do it this way I am, but your attitude affects your situation. So many saints have the same frame of mind they did when they were in the world, and they think it's o.k. and it's not. Your attitude plays a really big part in how the Father will flow through you. God can not dwell in an unclean temple therefore you have to change your way of thinking.
Ephesians: 4:22-24
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Now I am going to give my own testimony; when I was in the world I was a fighter, and I would fight you in a minute; and I had zero tolerance for mess. So now that I am saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost the same things that I went through in the world, I saw myself experiencing in the church, but here is where my spiritual maturity in God steps in, I am no longer the old CaLisha that was in the world and lost, so my thought pattern has to be different, does not mean I don't think about wanting to fight sometimes (if we can just be real for a minute) just means I have to tear down those thoughts and ask myself what would Jesus do; and God allowed me to go through that very thing a few days ago, and God got the glory because I passed the test because I changed my way of thinking. I changed my attitude by renewing my mind daily with the word of God. And when the test came and believe me it came; God allowed me to humble myself and say nothing at all to the other person, but pray and ask God for mercy for them, and when I saw where God had brought me from I gave him praise all night, and when I say all night I mean all night until 8 a.m. the next morning. Now for some that don't seem like much but for me it meant a whole lot, I didn't have to wait for anyone to pat me on my back and say girl you are really growing in God, I was able to do it myself, somebody better hear me. When you change your attitude and stop being nasty, and judgmental, and two faced and bitter, and stubborn, and controling you will see God give you favor like you would not believe, all in changing your thinking process. Before you can really get delivered and free from your troubles you need to straighten your attitude out. I heard T.D. Jake's say, " Until your attitude is corrected, you can't be corrected". Your attitude will give you peace or mess, you decide. You will not be able to receive everything the Father has for you, if you do not change your attitude.
When you come out of darkness and into the light, their should be a change about you, that people who use to know you recognize it in you. Your fruit should be that of the fruits of the Spirit.
If you are not producing these fruits you need to check your walk with Christ
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, (the willing sacrificial giving of one self for the benefit of another with out the thought of return) joy, (is gladness of the heart) peace, (is tranquility of mind, freeing one from worry and fear) long-suffering, (is patience with others, the opposite of short temper, a disposition quietly bearing injury) gentleness, (is kindness) goodness, (is generosity) faith, (belief in God) meekness, (is gentleness, that is, courtesy and consideration in ones relations with others) temperance (is self-control, that is, the ability to harness and control ones passions and lust)
Don't try to change the mind of other people-change your own.
