We sometimes as Christians look down on others....why do we do this? I'll tell you why....we forget we use to be right where allot of people are, and now that we know Jesus we feel we are untouchable. Yes, we as believers know when people are giving in to the world oppose to God, but even with that insight God never intended for us to judge; pray for your brother or sister that is falling short, instead of trying to express how you feel about it, because it's not about you anyway. Sometimes I feel God allows certain people to come into our path and do certain things, and watch how we react to it; remember what's ever in you is eventually going to come up out of you, and even if you think it you are wrong. It was by God's loving grace that we are able to even tell our story, and I never read where Jesus looked down upon His people.
Romans 14:10-13,16
10) But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11) For it is written, AS I LIVE, SAITH THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND VERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS TO GOD.
*A day is coming when every believer will give an account to God concerning why he did or did not do everything he/she was suppose to. At this time the weaker and stronger brothers will give their own explanations to God why they did their own thing and not what God wanted. See God has already chosen a day that He will judge,... not us...we all still fall short of God's glory and we all will until the day of His return.*
12) So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13) Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
* Only the Lord has the right to judge, and He will. Judgment must stop now, because it causes division in the church and it damages the harmony that's suppose to be there, it causes attention to be on something else beside what it's suppose to be on and that's God. A stumbling block is conduct that is offensive or causes shock to another.*
16) Let not then your good be evil spoken of.
Matthew 7:1-2
JUDGE not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
*We are not to judge the inner motives of another. We are not God, only God knows what's hidden inside of us. We are not to come up with our own opinion based on what we think. Neither are we to use ourselves as the standard of judgment. Can you imagine how sometimes we judge people....and when you are judging there's no compassion or understanding.....remember though the measure you use to judge one is what God is going to use to judge you. I may not be where I want to be, but thank God I am not where I use to be....and we should all praise God for saving us.
