I had spoke this word to my husband the other day and I want to speak again to encourage someone at this moment. Sometimes we as "Christians" feel that because we are saved; we don't have to worry about ever looking back. Now I know a lot is disagreeing and saying, (and I am paraphrasing); God says when I give my life over to Him I am a new creature....and that is right and that is the word. The word also says: "that in which you sew you will reap". Do you ever wonder sometimes how come certain things are not going the way you would like them to? If I can just get you to come down for a moment and relate..(remember God meets us where we are) We all was saved by God's grace; some of us were adulterers, liars, fornicators, abusers, drug users, back biter, two faced, etc. and God saved us, just because God saved you doesn't mean you are not going to pay one day for that wicked pass of yours, it just means God will allow you to go through that thing with mercy and grace. And this is why we should have compassion for others, because when your storm hits you are going to want someone to have compassion for you.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulations, that we may be able to comfort them which are in trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
I heard a preacher say that passion without power is emotions gone wild....hmmmm see a lot of times we can have compassion for someone, but after you sympathize with me, I need you to speak a word in my life to encourage me, and that is where a lot of us lack, it is good to be sensitive to someone elses needs, but someone has to have power from God to not only show compassion but be able to set the atmosphere to let the devil know you are declaring peace be still and you and your Father come against anything that exalt itself before God. See I don't know about you, but I was weary and tired in my soul, and one day I heard my Father tell me I can have REST, not the rest that allows you to just be sleep, but the REST that causes peace. My enemies were many but now they are few, because my God said; I will cause your enemies to be at peace with you. See it's not because I was so faithful and not because I was so true, but it was because I SURRENDER everything I was and will ever be unto God, when I see the change that took place on the inside, it causes me to study that scripture even the more:
MATTHEW 5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
* See God sits up high and He looks down low, and He already knows our story...... I said He already knows our story, don't need to sound like a broken record, He was there when I was abused, He was there when "church folks" almost killed me (spiritually) He was there when we didn't know how our bills were going to be paid, He was there Hallelujah when the doctor tried to say I had cancer, He was there thank you Jesus when I was all by myself, He was there when I lost my babies back to back. See sometimes we think because we see the outer appearance of someone that we know them, but all my days were not sunshine...I had many days when I didn't think I was going to make it, I don;t know why the Lord is having me go this way, but this is for somebody, God is God all by himself, and He never needed any help. We say I thank God I found God, but I heard someone say I thank God, God found me......it's because of His love that I can love the unlovable, it's because of His love that I can forgive, it's because of His love that I am able to tell my story, it's because of His love that I became a Proverb 31 Woman, it's because of His love that no matter how many times I am knocked down I get back up, it's because of His love that I am able to reach out to thousands; it's because of His love that I have a mind made up to go all the way with Him, it's because of His love that we are living, it's because of His love that I have a man to love me like no other, it's because of His love that I have faith that causes people to think that I am crazy, it's because of His love is the reason I do what I do, it's because of His love that I can have so much compassion, it's because of His love that I am FREEEEEEEEE
