We say we are representing the Father; we say we love Him, yet and still in the "church" I to often see us displaying something totally different. Why do we try and make good people pay for what someone else in the past did? This is done in marriages as well as the church. How will you ever to get to experience everything that God wants to give you with road blocks up? Why do we judge something or someone before we allow God to reveal to us. How come we always look for the worst instead of the good. Why do we already have our mind made up of how things are going to be; without even knowing what lies ahead? I was talking to God and I told Him I did not want to be a part time saint, love when I want to love, no I am going to love even when I don't want to. Be kind when someone else is kind, no I am going to be kind even when you won't. No matter who you are or what religion you follow the one thing we all can agree on is Jesus displayed love no matter what, He was against, no matter who denied Him, no matter who talked about Him, and no matter what they thought of Him. Love is a four letter word that we tend to throw around, but when you really love like Christ loved, it will be time out for foolishness. Love is not always right, love can admit it's wrong, love is not arrogant, love is not a big baby, love is not judgmental, love does not take score, love is not just a feeling, but a way of life. Love is Christ and if we are suppose to represent Him, let's start doing it with more Love and less us.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
Love suffers long, and is kind; love envieth not; love is not puffed up. Love does not behave itself unseemly, love does not seek her own way, love is not easily provoked, love thinks no evil; Love rejoice not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; Love beareth all things, believes all things, endures all things.
To love like this is to love like Christ. And we can STOP with the I love all my brothers and sisters with our mouth and something different is going on in your heart. God knows our hearts and our thoughts, so although we may fool some, we won't fool God, if you say you are representing God and you do not produce real love, it's time to do a self examination.
