So many of Christians today, can not give themselves 100% to God, and it's not because God has not made away, it's because we refuse to give up our plans, ideas, desires, passion, interest, and love. In order to be a true disciple you first must learn discipline...to be a disciple you must first be a follower to Christ and embrace and assist to spread the teaching to others (believers as well as non believers) and to be discipline is to correct and train, and have self control, God gives us the 10 Commandments to follow; but how many are really obeying them? Jesus says in;
Luke 14:33; So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. In other words; any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciples. What is holding you back from carrying your cross? Is it mother, father, brother, sister, children, friends? Let me tell you what Jesus says about them:
Matthew 10:37-39; He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall loose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Findeth his life means to wrongfully gain something out of life for oneself, when we really start living to God, we die to flesh, and if you are not dying to your flesh then how can you possibly be living for God?
It's time that God's people know that you not going to make it if you don't give up SELF.... How are we trying to be Ambassador's for Christ but we still pacify our SINful behaviors, and nobody wants to hurt nobody's feelings so we sit back and allow the body of Christ to die.... "For God I live and for God I die, and I will not and I can not compromise the word of God" If I have to stand by myself.....then Lord thy will be done; I now understand "many are called but few are chosen"....to walk this walk it's more than just the outer appearance, of looking saved....but what about the inside man? When are we going to eat the MEAT....when is God's people going to STAND bold before the world, and declare that we are one of His? When is the Body of Christ going to die...so that we can live for God; it starts with the head......the head must be lined up with God...the head must die to self, we can not get caught up in materialistic things, that we loose focus on GOD; there's nothing good in this old flesh...nothing at all, we have to crucify our flesh....
Galations 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not, frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
I will be the first to admit this walk with Christ is not always easy....but you show me in the word where it says it was? God says you will know they are my disciples by the love they show to one another. Now I know I am about to loose some people right now; some of you reading this right now, don't love me, you whisper behind my back, and sad to say you tried to become my friend not out of genuine love, but to see what you can get out of me. Now I am by no means close to being Christ, but it is my heart desire to be like Christ and one of the things that I learned about Christ is that even when they came against Him , He still showed mercy and love, and this is why I have learned how to turn the other cheek, and this is what taking up your cross and going with God means. How many of us can have self control....does it hurt.....YES more than you will ever know; but who or what will separate you from the love of Christ?
