Luke 6:20-23
Blessed be ye the poor: for yours is the kingdom of God
Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled.
Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Rejoice ye in the that day, and leap for joy: for behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
*Poverty, hunger, sadness, persecution, isolation, being falsely accused-seemingly a recipe for despondency (depression of spirits from lost of hope, confidence, or courage). Yet such has traditionally been the lot of the faithful who have sought the Lord and not merely popular religion.*
One thing I have learned through my own personal wilderness....is when you have nothing, no one, just you and God (someone whom we have never seen) can you STAND and believe. See it's one thing to preach the word of God, but can we really live it.
One of the fruit of the Spirit is longsuffering (Galatians 5:22) To long suffer is patience with others, the opposite of a short temper, a disposition quietly bearing injury, patiently enduring wrongs or difficulties, endurance.
When I think about longsuffering I think about Jesus on Calvary...Oh how they beat Him, spit on Him, lied on Him, persecuted Him, denied Him, talked about Him, kicked Him, slapped Him, ( 1 Peter 3:18) and through all that He still asked for mercy on us. God please have mercy on us for complaining about our longsuffering, because until we suffered like Christ we should keep our mouths closed. God is God all by His self, and when you really start letting God's purpose for your life flow, God said He would manifest Himself unto us, manifest means: capable of being understood or recognized.
1 Peter 4:16
Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf
1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
No matter what it may look like, God is a perfect God and He already knows what we are going to experience before it even come. See God is not like man, He doesn't look down on us when we mess up through our test and trials, He just wants the glory through it all. I know I love the Lord, I had to learn to love God's people when it hurt and I felt I had a right not to. I am sure some are saying why is she being so honest...because I am no longer a man pleaser, but I want to please my Father. I thank God He saw something in little old CaLisha to allow me to even long suffer the way that I do, because God knew I could handle it, I may not have always went through my storms the right way, oh but glory to God He brought me through. See every time we long suffer it should bring us closer to God, and humble us the more (when we suffer for righteousness sake).
ISAIAH 53:3-5
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He has borne our grief, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we were healed
