Matthew 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
*The genuinely born-again person is the salt and can help meet the needs of the world. Salt adds flavoring, acts as a preservative, melts coldness, and heals wounds; you better hear me....*
Colossians 4:6
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how to answer every man.
Those of us that are saved should take every opportunity to display wise behavior toward the unsaved and to use it as a chance for witnessing. Grace and wisdom will enable the saved on how to answer every man when speaking to him about the gospel.
Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
Keep in mind that, that in which you speak people are watching you to see if you are truly living it; do not become categorized as a busy body or a hypocrite. The world is lost and dark, and the saved are suppose to be the light, let the light which is Jesus Christ shine and bring someone out of the darkness into the light.
Mark 9:50
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost the saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
*Salt from the Dead Sea contains impurities and becomes easily stale and unpleasant in taste. Having salt in yourself marks the quality of ones devotion onto God. Let your light shine bright; remember Christ came for the lost.*
